public class WRLDtimeApplet

extends java.applet.Applet

implements java.lang.Runnable

An applet that displays the current WRLD.time through a WRLDtimePiece.

This class drives the Applet componentry of a WRLDtimePiece. At the moment, this class can only create an instance of WRLDtime. Some day it will be extended with a Factory process to create any WRLDtimePiece implementation... but not yet.

If you run the applet anywhere other than sleepbot.com, you get the WRLD.time logo -- a 25-pixel black bar at the bottom of the display region.

Standard initialization hook for an Applet class.

This method:

• constructs a new WRLDcron chronometer
• constructs a new WRLDtimePiece
• invokes WRLDtimePiece.init(WRLDcron, Applet)
• renders the initial clock face

destroy

public void destroy()

Standard destruction hook for an Applet class.

This method:

• invokes WRLDtimePiece.destroy()

start

public void start()

Standard thread start hook for an Applet class.

This method:

• renders the initial clock face
• invokes WRLDtimePiece.start(WRLDcron)

stop

public void stop()

Standard thread stop hook for an Applet class.

This method:

• invokes WRLDtimePiece.stop(WRLDcron)

run

public void run()

Standard thread run hook for an Applet class.

This method:

• performs either a standard or 'patient' update, depending up on WRLDtimePiece.isLoaded()
• invokes WRLDtimePiece.waiting(WRLDcron) while 'patiently' waiting for the update
