As I've described it so many times, "it sounds like the room you're in". This comes from my personal experience working at a desk that was just below the room's ventilation system. Whenever air needed to be circulated, this very loud and pervasive thrumm would surround me, and slowly peter away. This album sounds like that. The central core is deep tones, waxing and waning against technological weeps and tinkles, all rendered in a seriously skitterish way. It's not really there; perfect listening for those all-night coding sessions. Optical media is definitely preferable, and the CD should be available through special order.
