Lux Vivens (Living Light)
Sumptuous female voice, drawn out and delayed in traditional Gregorian style, then infused with industrio-organic ambiance. Exactly what you'd expect to get if you locked mr. Lynch and ms. von Bingen in a small chapel together for a few months. Oh, yeah, and make sure to provide plenty of samples & effects... can't be dark and brooding without them! I find this album's greatest triumph in its selective & subtle use of beat, accentuations that nudge the body along as its mind floats down dusty stone passageways. Lovely, passionate, and 13th-Century enough even for my father. It was an easy disc to run across, so i'd figure that it's still widely available.
