Songs of a Dead Dreamer
Initially, when I asked about this disc, Dervish assured me that this man usually did the Drum & Bass circuit. But, having heard his stuff on compilations, I decided to take the risk. It was well worth it; the album is a beautifully harsh closed environment. Thinking about it now, I've experienced the album in many ways as a constant transition from theme to theme, stopping long enough to say its piece and then meandering off in search of other things. If there was a better term to describe it than Gothic Trip Dub, I'd use it, but one doesn't come to mind. Good examples of the overall theme are the transitions from tracks 2 to 3 and 6 to 7 (irrespectively). Asphodel's domestic, and it's really got itself a winner in this one.
