Daft
If I had a Sound category called "sonic insanity", this album would fit right in. Created in the early 80's, this album was a magestically pioneering work, especially for a group of folks who were making Pop music. Strange, harsh samples, machinery and the like, used not as accompaniment but as the instrumentation itself. Various permutations of this, with the occasional piano or orchestral note to steady itself, the result was tweaked and tempting. I'm at a loss for really poignant words here, but that's why I've provided you with these lovely samples. More than half of this CD is available on the album "Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise", but a lot of the best bits & remixes are only found here. It's an import, but I think there were plenty made. Best of luck!
