Perhaps I'm just being influenced by the cover art, but as many of his works do, there's a substrate of coldness to this work. His processing seems to leave a hiss, a gaseous film to his mid- and high-tones. The abrupt slicing of the source samples is evident in the repeating patterns, yet they're rounded, smoothed, almost tender. His bass notes are lush; and they feel as if designed to mold into a gaping cavity in your chest. And the tracks alwayse leave you wanting more, waiting pensively for what the next song might bring. It's hard to characterize the album other than as a sum of its individual parts. Touch is good about keeping stock of its discs, so I'd imagine this is an obtainable work.
